Randy Hyatt became Conductor of the Oakhurst Community Concert Band in November, 2003, succeeding the late Loren Callan. Randy has been active in music and music education for over 27 years, currently as band and choir instructor at Yosemite High School. He received his BA in Music Education from CSU Fresno, and also has an MA in Education Administration. Throughout his teaching career Randy has held various positions providing experience in every area of music education. While teaching at Roosevelt School of the Arts in Fresno he worked with several students who have continued on into prestigious music careers, including Tony Award winner Audra McDonald. Outside of school, Randy has been active in community events including staging productions at Saroyan Theatre for Northwest Church. As Conductor of The Oakhurst Community Concert Band, Randy is working diligently to continue Loren's dream of a first class community band providing memorable concerts and a venue for musicians of all ages to come together to share the joy of playing music.

Pat Mierkey has a lifetime of music experience teaching and playing throughout the United States. Pat began his professional musical career at the ripe age of fourteen by playing trumpet and saxophone with a polka/dance band in central Wisconsin. He became a music teacher in 1965 after earning a degree in music education in Arizona. He played euphonium, trumpet, and tuba with the Arizona 108th Army National Guard Band for thirteen years. He began with the Yosemite Jazz Band on tuba in 1996 and is now playing his trombone.
Alan Graas has been active with the Oakhurst Community Band from the beginning, first playing clarinet, and then "graduating" to alto saxophone when there was a need. Alan's expertise in financial planning provides professional management of the band's donations and expenses.
